POWDER: Writing by Women in the Ranks, from Vietnam to Iraq is a new book edited by Lisa Bowden and Shannon Cain and published by Kore Press. Kore Press is one of the last remaining feminist presses in the USA and decided to launch the book in a cutting-edge non-traditional manner. Shannon Cain approached me about producing a book trailer. I jumped at the chance to try something new. We talked ideas and recorded the narration at their Tucson office. With narration, online galleys, and a CD with the contributing authors' photos, I created this awesome book trailer. We released the video on YouTube just days before the book launch and have over 1,000 views. I look forward to utilizing my creativitiy for more projects like this in the future -- a true creative exercise.
